What happens before you choose
This website does not load Google Analytics or send measurement requests to Google before you accept. Rejecting analytics keeps it off. Your choice is stored in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days. The saved preference record stays in your browser. Once you accept, the Google tag receives an Analytics permission signal; advertising permission stays denied.
What accepting enables
Google Analytics 4 helps me understand which portfolio pages and Learning articles visitors find useful. After acceptance, the Google tag loads and sends the page title and its canonical URL. Query strings and fragments are excluded from the page URL sent to Analytics. Visits from the resume QR code can be identified using only the fixed campaign labels resume (source), qr (medium) and career (campaign). Other query values are not forwarded. Referral data is limited to the referring website’s origin, without its paths, queries or fragments.
Google also processes basic visit and technical information, including cookie identifiers, language, screen size, browser information and network information such as an IP address. GA4 produces standard session, first-visit and engagement measurements alongside page views. This website adds no click, scroll, form, download or other custom interaction tracking.
Advertising consent stays denied. Google signals, ads personalization and user-provided data collection are disabled. No names, email addresses, user IDs, form contents or private career records are supplied to Analytics. Analytics runs only on the public cheeweng.com domain, not previews or local copies.
Cookies and retention
After acceptance, Google Analytics can set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_FQ3P6JXHHC to distinguish visits and sessions. Their configured lifetime is 60 days, with automatic expiry renewal disabled. GA4 event and user data retention is set to two months, with activity-based renewal off. Aggregated reports can remain available beyond this setting.
Change or withdraw your choice
Use Analytics preferences in the footer of any page. Choose Reject analytics to withdraw acceptance. This disables further Analytics collection, removes this website’s Analytics cookies and reloads the page to unload the Google tag. Withdrawal does not erase data already received by Google. Clearing browser storage removes your saved preference and you will be asked again.
If your browser prevents saving a choice, Analytics stays off. With JavaScript disabled, Analytics also stays off. Browser privacy tools may block Analytics even after acceptance.
Providers and contact
The website is hosted through Sites. Hosting necessarily processes requests to deliver its pages; rejecting optional Analytics does not prevent that delivery. Analytics is provided by Google, which may process data outside Malaysia. Read Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) for its processing practices.
